Pediatric Canadian Headache Network (PeCaHN)

Mission Statement

The mission of the Pediatric Canadian Headache Network (PeCaHN) is to improve the care and outcomes of children and adolescents with headache disorders. We strive to achieve our mission by promoting research into pediatric headache disorders, as well as education opportunities for care providers, the public, children and adolescents with headache disorders, and their families.

Specific Objectives

  1. To promote high quality research into pediatric headache disorders through national and international collaborative networks.
  2. To provide evidence-based educational materials and opportunities to care providers who treat children and adolescents with headache disorders.
  3. To provide evidence-based educational materials and opportunities to children and adolescents with headache disorders and their families.
  4. To provide evidence-based educational materials and opportunities to the public about pediatric headache disorders.
  5. To promote national quality improvement projects that aim to standardize and improve the quality of care for Canadian children and adolescents with headache disorders.
  6. To establish a collaborative network of care providers who treat children and adolescents with headache disorders, with the goal of providing opportunities for input into clinical management of pediatric headache disorders.
